These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website and your purchase of any product from The Calm Puppy ("we", "us"). By browsing this site or placing an order you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

The Calm Puppy is a trading name of Diego Marin, NIF 78841837E, Tudela, Navarra, Spain. Contact: support@thecalmpuppy.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to buy from us. By ordering you confirm that you are.

3. What you are buying

Our products are digital files (PDF guides, planners and printables). You are buying a licence to use those files, not ownership of them, and not any physical item. Page counts, formats and contents are described on each product page and are accurate at the time of publication.

4. Licence and permitted use

When your payment is completed we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to:

  • download and store the files on devices you own;
  • print copies for your own personal, non-commercial use;
  • use the material with the dogs in your own household.

You may not:

  • resell, rent, sublicense, gift, trade or otherwise distribute the files, in whole or in part;
  • upload the files to any website, cloud folder, forum, file-sharing service, social network or messaging group where others can obtain them;
  • share your download link or account access with anyone else;
  • reproduce, translate, adapt or create derivative works from the material, or publish extracts, screenshots or transcriptions beyond brief quotation with clear attribution;
  • use the material in any commercial context — including training classes, kennels, breeding operations, veterinary practices, membership sites or paid coaching — without a separate written commercial licence from us;
  • use the material, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune or evaluate any machine-learning or artificial-intelligence system, or to build a competing product;
  • remove or alter any copyright notice, branding or watermark.

All content, text, layout, illustrations, trade marks and design remain our property or that of our licensors, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Breach of this section terminates your licence immediately, without refund, and may be pursued as copyright infringement.

5. No professional, veterinary or medical advice

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it carefully.

Our products are general educational and informational material about living with and training a puppy. They are not veterinary advice, medical advice, behavioural diagnosis, or a professional training programme tailored to your dog, and they do not create any professional relationship between us.

We are not veterinarians and we do not know your dog. Nothing in our products should be used to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness, injury or behavioural disorder. Always consult a qualified veterinarian or a certified animal behaviourist before acting on anything you read, and immediately if your dog shows signs of illness, pain, distress, aggression, or any sudden change in behaviour.

You remain solely responsible for your dog, for your own safety and that of other people and animals, and for complying with all laws applicable to dog ownership where you live.

6. No guarantee of results

Every dog, household and owner is different. Any timelines, schedules, examples, testimonials or outcomes described in our products or on this site are illustrative and are not a promise, guarantee or prediction of the results you will get. Results depend on factors outside our control, including your consistency, your dog's age, breed, health and history, and your environment. We do not guarantee that any particular result will be achieved.

7. Assumption of risk

Working with animals carries inherent risk, including the risk of bites, scratches, property damage and injury. By using our material you accept that risk and agree that you do so at your own discretion and at your own risk, exercising your own judgement about what is safe and appropriate for your dog and your circumstances.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • our products and this site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded;
  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, time or opportunity, however caused;
  • we are not liable for any injury, illness, damage or loss suffered by you, any other person, or any animal, arising from the use of or reliance on our material;
  • our total aggregate liability to you for any claim connected to a product or this site is limited to the amount you actually paid us for that product.

Nothing here excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing here affects the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our material, or your infringement of any right of a third party.

10. Orders, pricing and availability

All prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise, and taxes are calculated at checkout where applicable. We may change prices, run promotions, or withdraw a product at any time; changes do not affect orders already placed. Despite our efforts, a product may occasionally be listed at an incorrect price or with an error in its description — in that case we may cancel the order and refund you in full before delivery. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, and to limit or prohibit orders that we reasonably judge to be fraudulent, made by resellers, or in breach of these Terms.

11. Delivery and refunds

Delivery is electronic and immediate — see our Delivery Policy. Because the products are digital and access is granted instantly, the statutory right of withdrawal does not survive delivery. Separately, we offer a voluntary 14-day promise: work the plan and, if it has not helped you, email us within 14 days of your order telling us which days you ran, and we will refund you in full. That promise, its conditions and the situations it does not cover are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. It is a promise about your money, not a guarantee of any particular result — see section 6.

12. Acceptable use of the site

You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, to interfere with its operation, to scrape or harvest data from it, to submit false information, or to use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or block access where we reasonably suspect such activity.

13. Third-party services

This site runs on Shopify and uses third-party payment and delivery services. Their availability, and any link to another website, is outside our control; we are not responsible for third-party content or services and their inclusion does not imply endorsement.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The version published on this page at the moment of your order is the one that applies to that order. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Consumers in the European Union may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are happy to try to resolve any complaint directly first — please write to us.

16. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Refund, Delivery and Privacy policies, are the entire agreement between us.
